OKLAHOMA CITY (February 6, 2014) –Oklahoma University is used to successon the gridiron annually, with seven national championships and 44 conference titles adorning its tradition-rich football program. Coming off last season’s unlikely escape at Oklahoma State, and capping 2013 with its surprise dominance of Alabama in the Sugar Bowl translated to extra fervor yesterday as National Signing Day in Norman, presented by US Fleet Tracking, unfolded. A national ranking of #15 among all college programs and boasting the top running back recruit in the country had Sooner partisans anticipation brimming, and a couple of late-day successes now finds the Sooners recruiting class one of the most talked-about nationwide.

The 2014 University of Oklahoma recruiting class produced signees from coast to coast as the Sooners inked athletes from 10 different states. The Sooners totaled 26 signees Wednesday, truly the first day of the college football letter of intent signing period. The class, though others signees may emerge, now comprises 24 high school athletes and two junior college transfers.
