OKLAHOMA CITY (March 31, 2014)--The US Fleet Tracking Microjet began a two week road show with its presence at the 2014 Wings Over South Texas Airshow in Kingsville, Texas last weekend.”Major Justin “Shmed” Lewis, thrilled fans in the world’s smallest jet performing high performance aerobatics at speeds approaching 300 MPH. After three days of flying, Lewis and Microjet crew chief Jeremy Dirksen headed to the 40th Annual Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In and Expo beginning Tuesday, April 1.
“I’m thrilled that USFT was able to bring me to the spot I earned my Wings of Gold as a Naval Aviator and begin my Naval flying career,” Lewis said of the Wings Over South Texas show. “It was really awe inspiring, with the crowds and performers alike honored to be a part of a tradition-rich event with history dating back to the 1950’s.”
Fans were amazed to be able to track the Microjet live on their smart phones during Lewis’s routine, and as US Fleet Tracking devices were donated to Naval security forces and the Kingsville, Texas police department, personnel and vehicles could be tracked for logistical efficiency and safety.
